Kalimah Johnson is the proud owner of PicNap™ Natural Hair Care Artistry.  She has cultivated and refined her expertise in natural hair styles since the 1970's. As a Master Loctician with several years of experience, her personal mission is to create a healthy black consciousness within her community. Her adoration for natural hair and her dedication to providing detailed attention to her clients has won her praise from the industry, but most importantly from her loyal client base.

It is this commitment that has encouraged her to create a new exclusive line of services and merchandise called PicNap™. Through the launch of PicNap™, Kalimah produces natural hair care events and workshops. PicNap™ merchandise has grown to include clothing and natural hair care products.

Kalimah Johnson holds a Master's Degree in Social Work, and is a published performance poet. Her skills and talent have allowed her to incorporate group processing when Conducting PicNap™ gatherings. The events have allowed her clients the opportunity to dialogue about the negative social repercussions and connotations of nappy hair. They have also provided her clients with a forum to embrace the hidden potential of nappy hair. She is dedicated to nurturing pride in black people, and removing the myths and challenges related to hair locking.

Her creative blend of poetry and performance is used to entertain, inform and celebrate the topic of natural black hair. She has established herself as a unique and gifted Natural Hair Care Artist/Master Loctician with a knack for bringing out the very best in her clients.
